NLdoet & Landelijke Opschoondag 2025

NLdoet is the national volunteer day, organised by the Oranje Fonds. In ‘t Zand, residents and volunteers from outside our neighborhood will renovate two Jeu-de-boules pitches and plant extra greenery. We will also carry out necessary green maintenance, such as tying up rose bushes and updating existing facade gardens. Do you want to participate?

Afterwards, everyone is welcome in the garden of San Damiano city monastery to share a free lunch together. Brother Rangel, a resident of the city monastery, will make delicious soup. There will also be sandwiches, fruit and a thank you for everyone who helped out on the day.

You can register here until Sunday, 9 MarchThe day ends with a tour along all the projects we worked on together during the day. For each project, one of the volunteers will briefly explain what has been done. A good way to get to know (our) neighbourhood ‘t Zand better!

National Clean Up Day | Saturday, 22 March
During the National Clean Up Day, litter picking activities are organised throughout the Netherlands, including in ‘t Zand. Anyone who wants, can help pick up litter in all the streets of our neighbourhood. Will you join us?

The Zandbewoners neighbourhood association also organises two litter picking activities every month under the name Zandlopers. In March we will do this together with our regulars and new volunteers during the National Clean Up Day.

You can join us from Emmaplein in ‘t Zand north and Maijweg in ‘t Zand south. Zandbewoners provides grabbers, vests, gloves and garbage bags. You can also bring your own materials if you have them.

After picking up litter, all participants are welcome at the OMNII community center. Here there will hot drinks, something tasty and a thank you for everyone. Children are also welcome at this activity, so feel free to bring the whole family.

Important information:
Based on the preferences entered, Zandbewoners makes a distribution for all registered participants. If you have no preference, you will be assigned by the organisation where we can best use your help.

After registering you will receive an automatic confirmation via email. 5 days before the activity you will receive an email reminder and the weather forecast. All activities are outside and if (heavy) rain is forecast, we will inform you about any changes to the programme and/or activities via that email.

You can register multiple people at the same time in the registration form. The preferences you provide are for everyone in your registration.
