Sint Luciaplein Survey 2026 | available until 7 June 2026

Do you visit Sint Luciaplein? Or do you tend to avoid it? Do you have any ideas for more green spaces or a better playground, or have you come across any issues? Do you feel safe in the neighbourhood? If so, we’d love to hear your thoughts!

On behalf of the Zandbewoners neighbourhood association, a group of students from HAS University of Applied Sciences is conducting research into the use of Sint Luciaplein and the sense of safety in the ‘t Zand neighbourhood. This research is an important step towards the future redevelopment of the square. We want to gain a better understanding of how the square is currently used, by whom, and also why some residents choose not to use it.

The playground equipment, the youth meeting place, the table tennis table and the basketball hoop on Sint Luciaplein are in need of replacement. Local residents, visitors and users are invited to share their ideas and have their say on the layout of the square. This covers everything within the hedges on the square, with the exception of the underground bins, which will remain in place.

This study is the first step in the process. After the summer holidays in 2026, the neighbourhood association intends to work together to identify the right choices for the play equipment. But also to consider wishes regarding other facilities for the present and the future. Such as, for example, a vegetable garden, a water tap, a covered seating area or a small community centre. Not everything can be implemented immediately, but the location of the play equipment is important for this type of planning.

Your experience and ideas are incredibly valuable and help to make the square a place where everyone feels at home.

👉 Fill in the questionnaire via this link
⏱️ It takes about 5–10 minutes to complete
🔒 The survey is completely anonymous and confidential

Do you know more people in ’t Zand? Please share the questionnaire with your housemates, neighbours, friends, or family. The more responses we receive, the better the insights!

Together, we can make Sint Luciaplein an even nicer space 🌿

Who can fill in the survey?

Anyone who uses Sint Luciaplein (or doesn’t!) is welcome to complete the survey. You can fill it in with your children or other household members in mind, but they are also welcome to complete it themselves. In fact, multiple responses from the same address are very valuable. This helps us get a broader and more accurate picture of how different people experience the square.

Do you know friends, acquaintances, or family members who don’t live near the square but do use it? Please share the survey with them! The more input we receive, the better.
