World Cleanup Day

World Cleanup Day | Saturday 20 September, 2025

During World Cleanup Day, cleanup activities are organised all over the world, including in ‘t Zand. Anyone who wants to can help out on this day by picking up litter in all the streets of our neighbourhood. Will you join us?

The Zandbewoners neighbourhood association organises two clean-up activities every month under the name Zandlopers. In September, we will be doing this together with our regular and new volunteers during World Cleanup Day. Would you like to join us more often? Then take a look at our Zandlopers page.

You can join in from OMNII in ‘t Zand north and the Melkfabriek in ‘t Zand south. Zandbewoners will provide grabbers, carrying rings, vests, gloves and bin bags. You can also bring your own equipment if you have it.

After picking up litter, all participants are welcome at Hotel Julien. Here, there will be hot drinks, snacks and a thank you gift for everyone. Children are also welcome to join in this activity, so feel free to bring the whole family.

Important information:
Zandbewoners will categorise all registered participants based on their preferences. If you do not have any preferences, the organisation will assign you to where your help is needed most.

After registering, you will receive an automatic confirmation by email. Five days before the activity, you will receive a reminder and the weather forecast by email. All activities take place outdoors, and if heavy rain is forecast, we will inform you of any changes to the program by email.

You can register multiple people at once using the registration form. The preferences you specify apply to everyone in your registration.
