At Zandbewoners we find the privacy of our neighbours, visitors and volunteers very important. In this privacy statement we explain how we handle the information that we collect and that you provide to us. This way you know exactly what happens to your data.

Our privacy statement has been drawn up in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Here we clearly explain what happens when you visit our website or when you enter your data.

At Zandbewoners, we process various personal data. The exact data we process depends on what you do on our website. There is also data that we process from all our website visitors. Other data is only processed when you for example, subscribe to our digital newsletter. Below you can find a list of all the data that we process.

We process the personal data below for everyone who visits our website.

  • internet browser and device type (e.g. tablet, smartphone or laptop)
  • your activity on our website (which pages you visit and what you click on)

We process this to see how our website is functioning. This way we can ensure that our website works well and continues to work well. According to GDPR, we can process this data on the basis of a legitimate interest, namely to continue to improve the website based on this information. You can click here if you want to know more about which cookies we use to collect this information.

If you subscribe to our digital newsletter, there are a few other details that we process in addition to the information of all website visitors:

  • First and last name
  • Address details
  • Email address

You enter this information yourself, it is not collected automatically. You enter it via a digital form and then you give us permission to use it for our digital newsletter and other neighbourhood activities. In legal terms, this means that we can process this information on the basis of consent.

We ask for your name in order to send the newsletters and emails to you. We use your address when we want to send a newsletter or email to a specific area in ‘t Zand.

We use paid computer programmes (software) for storing and using your data. These programmes have their own privacy statement, which we agree to when using them.

We send our digital newsletters with the Mailchimp program. This allows us to send all newsletters at the same time, with the look and feel you are used to, from us. You can read Mailchimp’s privacy statement here.

This is in English and can be translated into French, Spanish and Portuguese via the website itself. If you prefer to read it in another language, you can have the page automatically translated by Google Translate by clicking on the three dots in the top right corner of your screen, and then choosing the option “translate.”

Your data will never be sold to third parties! If we share your personal data, this is always with your permission. For example, if someone outside the neighbourhood association wants to contact you, we will first ask whether you agree to us sharing it. In short, nothing is shared without your permission. In exceptional cases, where we are legally obliged to share your data and are allowed to notify you, you will receive a message about this.

At Zandbewoners we share photos and video footage of our activities and events from time to time. We share these on the website, in the newsletter and/or on social media. These images can therefore be viewed by outside parties. If you want a photo or video in which you appear to be removed from the website, newsletter and/or social media, you can contact buren@zandbewoners.nl.

If you have a complaint or request, you can send it to buren@zandbewoners.nl and we will try to respond to it as soon as possible, but in any event not later than 14 days. At Zandbewoners we try to not collect data from residents who are younger than 16 years old, unless they have permission from a parent or guardian. However, we cannot check whether visitors to our website are older than 16. That is why we recommend that parents are involved in the online behavior of their children. This can prevent children’s data from being collected without parental permission. If you believe that we have collected personal data from someone under the age of 16 without permission, you can contact us. We will then delete this information. This can be done via buren@zandbewoners.nl.
