More than 12 other volunteers helped with the promotion and during the weekend itself.
Together with?
Royal Harmony ‘s-Hertogenbosch, community centre OMNII and IVN Natuureducatie and contributions from 10 local sponsors!
When and where?
Franciscuszaal, Maijweg and OMNII on Friday 27, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September, 2024
What?
During Burendagen, activities were organised for residents of ‘t Zand to participate in. For example, there was popcorn at the local cinema with the film Wonka on Friday, and visitors could ride bikes on a bumpy track on Saturday. In addition, many other activities were organised:
- Various children’s activities such as a bicycle track, face painting and crafts
- A stall for donating, collecting and exchanging plants
- A special performance by the Goulmy en Baar band
- Free neighbourhood BBQ buffet courtesy of JUMBO Visstraat and specially brewed neighbourhood beer courtesy of Atenzijlstra Makelaars
- Fun neighbourhood bingo with great prizes from local sponsors
- Bob Ross painting workshop where children paint the mighty Bossche Draak and adults paint the magnificent historic central station
- Pancakes and ice cream courtesy of COERS
- BioBlitz workshop where residents explored the biodiversity of the neighbourhood
During these activities, residents were able to get to know our neighbourhood and each other better. On Sunday, we ended the weekend with a fun and lively music bingo and snacks from local sponsors in the neighbourhood!
The Burendagen in ‘t Zand were made possible thanks to contributions from the Municipality of ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the Oranje Fonds and the Postcode Loterij Neighbourhood Fund. The programme was organised in collaboration with various organisations and resident groups from ‘t Zand. Are you curious about the atmosphere? An after movie was made during the Neighbourhood Days, which you can watch below.
